My Spirit Baby
You are not alone
I am here to support you in healing your relationship with your womb, and acknowledge the loss of miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, infertility, and or the loss of the dream of motherhood.
Attending to the sorrow, guilt and shame of pregnancy loss will not make it vanish, but it will begin to unearth the heart and the path towards peace, forgiveness and wholeness.
Supporting your journey surrounding your spirit baby, is a way to heal the heart and return to love. Together in community, connection, healing, ceremony and sharing, we can honor your trauma, your womb grief, your motherhood, and your Spirit Baby.
“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go” ~ Jamie Anderson
Your loss is important to me
Womb grief deserves sacred
connection, healing and support.
We are not the first women to lose a pregnancy or experience the pain, fear, heartache and loss we have felt. Our stories however, are unique. The feelings of grief are our own personal experience bound up in lost dreams and hopes, crushed with shame and sadness, and often bound with tears, anger, guilt, fear and disbeliefs. Womb grief is real, for every woman who has experienced a miscarriage, still birth, abortion, or infertility. What you feel, and how you feel is absolutely important. I want to honor your grief, support your mourning and offer you support in your healing, as an invitation to guide you through your loss and return to love.
"Loss is the absence of something we were attached to.
Grief is the rope burns left behind, when that which is held, is pulled beyond our grasp"
- Steven Levine
You are worthy of support
Your grief is a measure of your dream, your hope and your love.

My Spirit Baby Journey
After my third miscarriage, I was longing to find support that could normalize my loss and help me learn how to grieve and trust in life again.
I found forum posts about women who acknowledged their losses, but rarely spoke to the guilt, the shame and the feelings of failure as a woman I was experiencing.
I found myself in the shadow of my Spirit Babies for years after, and I continue to grieve their absence in the smiling faces of healthy children their same age. At times bitterness would fill my heart, and I sought to find meaning in my life through travel, study, and work. I longed to prove my success to the world as a woman, despite my inability to carry a child so far.
Rather then honor the pregnancy and creation that i did have, I did what most women in the west are encouraged to do. I denied my spirit baby, pushed the grief away and decided, "i should just get over it".
The truth is, we don't always get over it, and for some women the love that is born in the conception of that pregnancy, is a loss we carry our whole lives. So how do we honor this loss rather then deny it? How do we return to wholeness rather then cut off from that part of ourselves?
This question was answered in a series of synchronicity that introduced me to the Mizuko Jizo (water-baby ceremonies). Looking at the power of honoring our Spirit Baby rather then denying the pregnancy has inspired me to specialize as a counselor, create workshops to support women, and facilitate online group support.
My goal is to create a world wide service that can assist women in their healing. I hope to take the uncomfortable experiences of resentment, bitterness, guilt, shame and grief and allow them a place to be met in sessions, group healing, workshops and shared experiences.
I am hoping that by acknowledging womb grief, and opening to honor Your Spirit Baby, we can transform grief, guilt and shame, and invite a return to wholeness, and love.

My Spirit Baby
Inspired by Mizuko Jizo
My Spirit Baby services have been inspired by the Japanese tradition, Mizuko Kuyo, the water child memorial. This traditional ceremony was practiced is to support those that have had a miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion. In making an offering to Jizo, a buddhist deity that protects children. The intention of this rite is to support parental grief, comfort the soul of the fetus, ease guilt of an abortion, heal fear and release shame.
In addition to borrowing on ancient, non-denomination ceremonial tools, My Spirit Baby supports the parent in learning how to grieve, normalizing the unspoken and often lonely experience of loss, guilt and shame. In learning to work whit a Jizo statue, healing groups, and one on one support, My Spirit Baby intends to release the taboo of the unborn child, and support you in your healing towards wholeness.
